I'm Grateful

I normally complain every time Daylight Savings Time rolls around, but this morning I'm grateful.

I'm grateful that..

I went to bed early, so I didn't miss my lost hour of sleep.

I got up at 6am, and my kids were still sleeping.

I did my hair and makeup while the kids were still sleeping.

I even had a few quiet moments with God while the kids were STILL sleeping.

Can you tell they don't normally sleep in???

When my kids did finally get up at 7am, {7am!?!?!!!} they both happily shuffled out of their bedrooms to give their momma good morning hugs and kisses.

It's been a great morning thus far. And it's going to be another sunny day. And I am grateful.

1 Chronicles 16:23-31

Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.  For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.  Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.  Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength,  ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.  Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.  Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"

  1. :) I'm glad you had such an awesome Daylight Savings Transition. We didn't go to bed quite as early as we should have, considering my husband had to be up at 5 a.m. for work...

  2. Love the grateful attitude. It really transforms how we might normally face something not so fun, like losing sleep. I like the light in the evenings too:)
