When It Rains, It Pours

In the last few weeks our dryer died, I got a flat tire, Jude developed a nasty attitude, aaaand then the axle broke on my Jeep.
Then yesterday, we received some really bad news, found out the Jeep has transmission damage, and Kellyn came home from school with a fever. Then, to top it all off, I was making muffins and realized half way through that my dear husband used up all the eggs the day before.

A lack of eggs has never made me so angry.  (It turns out while baking muffins, eggs are just binding agents. Did you know that 1T ground flaxseed + 3T water = 1 egg? It worked out just fine.)

I even got to test my puke-catching abilities last night. I tell ya, things just keep getting better and better...

We're trying really hard to stay positive and cling to the Cross despite all of this craziness.

Psalm 63:8
My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.

What's your favorite encouraging Bible verse/quote?

  1. I love using flax eggs! It's such a great way to add some extra goodness. I'm sorry things aren't going so great at the moment :(

  3. “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.” Psalm 18:32-36

  4. Oh gosh - that is a seriously rough week! Here's to this week being better. My fav verse when I'm feeling down/anxious/overwhelmed is Philippians 4:6-7 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus'
