This morning was like most Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Jude and I dropped Kellyn off at school, and then we had three hours to kill in Hanover. I hadn't been to Target in a while, so I figured we'd check out their party stuff because JUDE'S BIRTHDAY IS A MONTH FROM TOMORROW! Plus, Jude was looking extra cute in his new brown Gap jeans. Where better to show him off than Target? (It was 9am, people..it was between there and Wal-Mart...) We were strolling around for a few minutes when suddenly I looked down, and much to my surprise Jude's clothes were soaked.
S O A K E D.
To be honest, I've never seen such a ridiculous "pee through" in all my years of parenting. I don't even know how his little bladder held enough pee to make him this wet. Seriously, how did his shirt get covered in pee while he's sitting in the cart??! Oh crap! I don't have any extra clothes in the diaper bag. Sooo, we strolled over to the little boy section, and I scored a whole new outfit for Jude for $5. Yay, Target clearance! :)
So we paid for the clothes and made our way into the family bathroom.
After I peeled off his gross-but-super-cute new jeans, I removed his 10ish pound diaper. As I turned to put it in the trashcan I heard the sound of--you guessed it!--Jude peeing on the floor. What?! Where is all of this pee coming from?! I still don't know. All I can say is he must've been "holding it" for a long freaking time.
So I cleaned up the puddle..oh wait, first I put his new diaper on!..then I cleaned up the puddle and got him dressed in his new $5 outfit. When I went to put his shoes back on I realized even his socks were covered in pee! I'm not sure if it drizzled down his leg while he was sitting in the cart, or maybe he peed right on his very own feet while standing in the bathroom? No one will ever know..
Back to the little boy section, we went to find a pair of cute little socks for $1.

ReplyDeleteToo funny! {of course, it's only funny when it's not happening to YOU!} A very similar thing happened to me recently... luckily, we were at Buy Buy Baby! I think we both lucked out! Those are probably the best two stores to be at in this situation {Target / Buy Buy Baby}. Happy Wednesday!
