He Just "gets it"

Jude woke up in the middle of the night with a low fever. I'm reeeeally hoping it's because he's teething because this unusually drool-y boy was just sick less than three weeks ago! To be on the safe side, we're staying home from church so we don't spread any possible-germs. Sooo I'm blogging on a Sunday..which is weird, but anyways...

My baby is growing up.  

I guess they're always growing up, but my little Jude is different now. It's like a little switch was flipped inside of his little mind.  He just "gets it" now.

~He's finally starting to speak words that we can understand! "Mama" is my favorite, of course (only because it took him SO stinkin' long to say it!). Although "Deh-in" (Kellyn) is a very, very, very close second! And "Daddy" is just old news..he's been saying it for months. ;)

~He copies everything we do. I mean everything. If we clap, he claps. If I sing, he "sings". If Daddy jumps, he jumps. If Kellyn coughs, he coughs. If we dance, he dances. Actually, at the sound of any music, he dances on his own--disco, anyone? Just wait til I get a video! (I wonder who taught him that..)

~He can now be trusted with my phone. That's right..I don't need to worry about it being whipped across the room or down the steps anymore! This is HUGE! It makes shopping so much easier! He can unlock my phone, get in/out of apps--he was even flinging some Angry Birds around this morning! The poor boy isn't good at it, but he tries!

~He's beginning to color things in instead of simply scribbling across the coloring book pages!

Okay, I could go on and on about how much Jude has changed in the last month, but I don't want to bore you! After all, it's probably only Mommy and Daddy who appreciate these little things so much. :)

 He's such a cool little dude.
