Stompeez Alert

We don't have cable. About two years ago, we said goodbye to Dish Network and subscribed to Netflix and Hulu Plus instead. Although sometimes it kills me to have to wait for Wednesdays to watch Parenthood instead of Tuesday nights and Matt would like to occasionally watch some football, it was the smart thing for us to do.

We are spending way less money on tv, everything's ready whenever we want, AND we don't have commercials!! (at least not long ones!)

Over the last month or so I realized how great it is that my kids don't see commercials! Have you watched a kid television station lately? Toys, toys, and more toys were shoved in kids' faces and had kids everywhere begging for Santa to bring them the new hottest toys. 

My kids (not that Jude cares yet..) had no idea what toys are "cool"! Thank God.

Until that day.

Kellyn was watching tv at Popsie & Mum Mum's house and happened to see this commercial:

Can you blame her for wanting them? I mean, those colors..that music..the dancing kids..heck, this commercial almost made ME want a pair.

Kellyn was with Mum Mum at Wal-Mart when she laid her eyes on real-life Stompeez for the first time.  She wanted them. She was relentless. To be honest, I'm surprised Mum Mum didn't buy them for her right then and there...you know how grandparents are. ;) Fortunately, it was before Christmas and Mum Mum could use the "maybe Santa will bring it" excuse.

Well, Kellyn is lucky Mum Mum told Mommy to tell Santa to get Stompeez. The unicorn pair, to be exact.

"I just knew Santa would bring me Stompeez!!!" 

She absolutely loved them! 

So did everybody else..

I'm sure they'll be making an appearance at the next show-n-tell at preschool....
